Graduation:

First of all, Dan and I are going to be graduating from Swarthmore College. Dan has gotten scammed into doing even more education after this, but I'm done. This means that I might not be broke anymore if I can find work (or that I will be homeless). It also means that theoretically I'll have time on my hands. It turns out that being at college (at least this college) wasn't as conducive to making industrial music as you might imagine. Onwards.

Server:

Anyone who's reading this site (no one) probably hasn't noticed a change, but plastic-idolatry.com is being hosted from my apartment now. I've got an ok DSL connection (608Kbps/128Kbps), and hopefully I will be upgrading it soon. The server does all my email, web hosting, and is set up for streaming. I don't have enough bandwidth to start streaming now; the new service that I'm signing up for will be (1.5Mbps/768Kbps): the bigger numbers are better. If that goes through, I'll be streaming audio. I've got permission from Ant-Zen and Hymen, and I assume that Hands is just too fucking lazy to answer my email (Hint: they still don't have a website).

Shows:

It wouldn't be obvious from the site, but Dan and I have done a fair bit of performing. We played a show last fall at the Rotunda as part of a film series, we played a show at Swarthmore on Halloween (which was an unmitigated disaster due to poor planning and bad equipment). We also did a radio show this semester which featured live music every week (by us in the studio) and played our final show on campus this spring, accompanied by Dan's cousin on drums.

Recording:

Dan and I haven't done much recording in the last couple of years. We have a track out on Systemic 001, put out by Systemic Audio. It's a 15 minute, 22 second behemoth about zombie invasions called Day 4, Hour 81.

We're planning to do a bunch of recording this summer. Obviously, my plans have not exactly been reliable in the past. We'll see how it goes.

Releases:

Due to bad luck, a speeding ticket, and the strange inner-workings of the Swarthmore Budget Office, I have been broke all semester (like, maxed-out credit card, $30-for-the-rest-of-the-month broke). I finally got paid around $800, and got my income tax refund, which paid off most of my debts. Hopefully once I start racking in the money doing whatever the fuck college graduates do, I will be able to afford to release the stuff I have:

-album by dezynergod: industrial

-album by kirche: harsh rhythmic noise

-a bunch of miscellaneous stuff, possibly for splits/comps

There has been talk of other stuff-- if it materializes I will mention it at more length.

Movie:

My girlfriend Kate and I filmed a 30 minute zombie movie. We have all the footage, and are in the editing process. I will be creating the soundtrack to the movie. If you're interested in getting a DVD copy of the movie once it's done, or the soundtrack CD-r, email me.

New Logo:

I like it better. A new image for a new era.

Final note: I finally have a program I don't hate for editing HTML files. So I am planning on neglecting this site less than I have been.
